Last week Tales Told From The Road publisher, Dick Jordan, visited Lassen Volcanic National Park in northeast California.

Beginning on Sunday, July 28, and continuing through Friday, August 2, when Dick was able to connect to the Internet—which worked well when he was driving up Interstate 5, but impossible in and near the park—he streamed live video updates on his trip. After the trip ended, he uploaded additional videos that couldn’t be streamed live to the Internet as they were being recorded.

Hitting “Play” in the player window below will replay the last video clip he uploaded. Go to “The Road to Lassen” UStream Channel to view all of the video clips from the trip.

Read “Lassen: Off-The-Beaten National Park Path” on Tales Told From The Road to learn more about visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park.

While guest lodging within the park where Dick Jordan will be staying thanks to the courtesy of the park concessionaire is almost fully booked through August, you’ll find some availability that month, and more in September and during the first two weeks of October when the season ends.

There are a number of campsites a number of campsites at Manzanita Lake as well as elsewhere in the park, and you may be able to snag one even if you drive in without having reservations.
